Myrdrazi U2
Second trial on this deck. Splashed U for the counterspells. Am considering switching the counterspells around, possibly for Dispel or the such. My main concerns are DoJ and opposing counterspells or removal ruining the combo going online early. The deck has a few wincons if it fails, but it going online really helps.
Creatures (24):
4x Myr Galvanizer (3)
4x Silver Myr (2)
4x Palladium Myr (3)
4x Grand Architect (1UU)
2x Lodestone Golem (4)

Proliferate and Prosper
Ok, new keyword that just blew my brain. Proliferate: choose any number of permanents and/or players with counters on them, then give each another counter of a kind already there. Not word for word quote, but there it is. Think about Planeswalkers, Pyromancers Ascension, Infect, and so much more. Half of the walkers can go off the second turn after casting with it, and Pyromancer goes online faster. Slide in a few Training Grounds to make it cost less, and this is going to get crazy fast. I'm seeing it as meta-changing, which it probably won't but it may. Get all cards said while they're still cheap.

RDT
Not quite Red Deck Wins here, but at least Red Deck Tries, hence the acronym. I've been trying to think up a new RDW that, while probably not great in the Standard environment, may be possible post-rotation. The basic build is:
Creatures:
Kiln Fiend
Plated Geopede
Chandra's Spitfire
Instant/Sorceries:
Lightning Bolt
Searing Blaze
Fling
Planeswalkers:
Chandra Ablaze
Chandra Nalaar
Lands:
Arid Mesa
Scalding Tarn
Mountains
Teetering Peaks
Smoldering Spires
May need some work but all of the current creatures get pumped in various ways, then get flung. Late-game (I know, RDW has late game?) the Chandras either burn the player to boost Spitfire or Ablaze goes full power and makes a massive Kiln Fiend. It definitely need a few more cards, but is a fine shell to work off of.

Flash Marts
Anagram of Marsh Flats, giving the colors of my upcoming deck, B/W. This one provides a similiar idea to my Naya build, but in a more efficient, synergistic package. Most of the creatures are double colored mana, providing for some hard opening choices, but we'll see how to level that one out. This deck is designed to be a post-rotation build, so no Ob Ring or Path suggestions, unless we find out those are being reprinted. The main idea is to get an equipment or other artifact card on the field to give potential vessels for Phylactery Liches once they hit play and to get Sun Titan out to bring the Liches back from the grave if they manage to die or become discarded. The other threats are Abyssal Persecutors and Baneslayer Angels, giving this deck many effective fatties, potentially from turn 3 onwards. My current build, uncompleted, looks like this:
Creatures(16):
3 Stoneforge Mystic
4 Phylactery Lich
3 Abyssal Persecutor
3 Baneslayer Angel
3 Sun Titan
Instants/Sorceries(8):
2 Consume the Meek
3 Consuming Vapors
3 Condemn
Artifacts(7):
3 Basilisk Collar
2 Sword of Vengeance
2 Crystal Ball
Lands(22):
4 Marsh Flats
9 Swamps
9 Plains
xx 7 OPEN SLOTS xx
Ideas are well appreciated and if I'm missing anything give me a heads up. Unless this build fails epically I will almost definitely be running it as my main deck.

Titanic Ultimatum
Card namesake pun, and this deck may run it for a bit. I'm continuing with my Stoneforge Mystic-Sun Titan concept, with the possible addition of red to get Bolt and Inferno Titan. The deck plays like a Naya form of the Stoneforge Mystic deck, using Sun Titan to bring Stoneforge or equipment cards back from the grave, as all are under 3 cost. I think it'd look like:
4 Stoneforge Mystic
4 Sun Titan
2 Inferno Titan
2 Primeval Titan
2 Sword of Vengeance
2 Basilisk Collar
2 Behemoth Sledge
4 Cunning Sparkmage
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Titanic Ultimatum
2 Rootbound Crag
4 Arid Mesa
2 Sunpetal Groove
4 Raging Ravine
4 Stirring Wildwood
3 Plains
3 Mountain
3 Forest
7 OPEN SLOTS
Not perfect, and will drop a few of the cards when standard changes, but it's an acceptable deck idea for now. Any thoughts?

Akroma lost her sword
I've been spending a lot of time on the MTG Salvation Forums but I had a combo idea with the Sword of Vengeance in M11. It's the basic Stoneforge Mystic plan with the ability to make and swing a mini-Baneslayer on turn 4: Turn one Kitesail Apprentice --> turn two Stoneforge to fetch the sword --> play it turn three --> drop Kor Outfitter turn four to equip the apprentice, while hopefully dropping a Seijiri Steppe to give it pro. whatever the main opponents threat is, then swinging with a 4/2 flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, and haste. Good enough for me, especially if you throw in a few more of the equippable Kor and other equipment to keep the chain going. Also, add a few Sun Titans to retrieve dead equipment and creature later in the game.

Combo Harvester
I am trying to figure out comboes with the spoilers, and my first big thought is there must be something with voltaic key. It's effect is one mana and tap itself to untap an artifact. Now we just need an ability that when a permanent taps it makes mana or other things to infinite combo.

Bring out your dead!
Apparently deathtouch is getting revamp in the rules. You always only needed to assign one damage per blocker for lethal, but if your dude tramples now you only need to assign one to the blocker and let the rest go over. Just for the example, if you overrun with Vampire Nighthawk and it's blocked by a Wall of Denial, you only need to assign one to the wall and hit the opposing player for the 4 left over. Seems a bit weird to me.

Wrath of the Lich King
Luke will respect that title. Phylactery Lich looks like a fun Black card, with required synergy with artifacts. 5/5 indestructible for bbb is great, even with the state based self-killer. I'm willing to guess he'll get even better with Myrodin, but for now he'll revive zombies for a bit, no pun intended.

Scorced Earth Tactics
As you may all guess by the title I purchased the "Scorch the World with Dragonfire" Archenemy deck today. Which one's are you guys getting if any? If I had to guess it's "Trample Civilization Underfoot" for Alex, "Bring About the Undead Apocalypse" for Luke, and "Assemble the Doomsday Machine" for Collin.

Irony, such a lonely word
Just saw a funny post in the mtg salvation forums; Baneslayer dies to Malfegor, which is true irony. The one Demon-Dragon in the game kills Baneslayer without raising a finger. I myself had a guy Pulse my Broodmate tokens, only to find out that all of his Sarkhan tokens also died, as they had the same name (Dragon). Anyone else seen some extreme card irony recently?

Gaea's Revenge
Too amazed to make a good title here. One of the green Mythics is a 5gg for an 8/5 uncounterable, haste creature that can't be targeted by nongreen spells or abilities... Vengevine wishes he was that. Also, Elvish Archdruid is coming back, plus a second semi-lord in the reprinted Imperious Perfect.

Mythic and Legend
M10 is the only core set so far with mythic rarity, and with 15 of them hopefully set a precedence for the core sets to come. If so, does this mean that White has already had all of its mythics revealed (Sun Titan, Ajani, & Baneslayer) or we see a return to rare walkers, or a drop in Baneslayer to a rare to drop its price and make it more accessible. Has anyone else thought the same? Also, even though I hate touching white I really like the art of the promo Sun Titan, and I can't wait to see what the other Mythics are.

Jund Friends
My current build seems ok, but seem to be getting a lot of 5 mana hands, which I guess is better than being mana-screwed. Just posting the build for now, will explain reasoning as responses to questions:

4x Putrid Leech
3x Siege-Gang Commander

2x Terminate
1x Maelstrom Pulse
2x Bituminous Blast
2x Trace of Abundance
2x Garruk Wildspeaker

Is this real life?
Gotta love when the world acknowledges our game. While flipping through tv channels I stopped on Cash Cab and was amazed to hear the last question: What collectible card game, with over 6 million players, is subtitled The Gathering? Luckily the players got that one, but I felt the need to post it for the lulz.

Elfdrazi Green
Alex, taking a look at your deck again. I know the build is basically set but you may want to check out mtgsalvation.com. They have a huge list of ideas for your Eldrazi G deck, which they affectionately call Elfdrazi. All of the ideas are pretty solid, but I'll guess you'll have to skim as theirs a bunch of pages. Wolfbriar+Master seems to be popular, even over Ant Queen. Give it a look before FNM if you have the chance.

Thinking about ways to kill Polymorph as it seems to be my least favored matchup at the moment. I'm thinking SBing Executioners capsule to kill Iona or Emrakul or Volcanic Fallout for the tokens. Any other ideas?

Where Have All the Bloggers Gone?
A: Long time passing, song pun. Anyways, seems to be a drop in blogging activity so I thought I'd drop a few things. For those running Jund I'm adding 2 Trace of Abundances for mana fixing and protection from Spreading Seas and Goblin Ruinblaster. For general, what old cards would you like to see come back in M11? I want Thorn Elemental, Hidden Herd, Waiting in the Weeds, Fallen Angel, and a few others back. Finally, are any of you expecting to change from your usual colors once M11 hits?

The Book of Revelations
Just realized something I was overlooking with Plummet... it's great for siding in against Red deck and Polymorph, but mostly Polymorph. Iona always calls black for me, stopping Doom blade. Now I'll be able to just snipe her for 1G and keep on trucking. If they side in Sphinx of the Steel Wind I'll still have the Doom Blades so... : )

Clash of the Titans
Check out the first Mythic rare from M11: the Sun Titan. 6/6 for 4WW and vigilance is nice, but the return target 3cmc or less permanent from grave makes this bonkers. Get back any of your destroyed removal enchantments or a weenie. Hoping they don't release 3cmc walkers like old Jace or USA control will be crazier. I sense a possible combo with something like Kor Skyfisher or the such. Any input?

Darksteel Disk
I don't know what keeps drawing me towards artifact decks as of recent, except maybe mental preparation for Mirrodin. To make it worse, I can't stop thinking about U/W, my least favorite colors... Here's the newest one I just thought up. Easy concept here: keep them busy to begin, get the Forge and Lattice out, then wipe the board repeatedly until I can swing with the Colossi and Masters (he'll be huge). Almost want to make this for casual but I bet some of these cards are quite expensive.... : )

Doom for Thought
Sorry for all the puns I try to do with the titles on these posts, I just like play on words. Anyways I realized a huge opening I've been leaving in my sideboard... I disregarded the Doom Blades for Terminate and Bolt. This left me hugely open to Polymorph using Flashfreeze to counter my removal. Anyone else made a huge opening in their deck to exploit?

Trade Technique
Hey guys, I need some input on a trade. Alon at Flights has a Maelstrom Pulse up for trade but wants a lot for it. He wants 2 Verdant Catacombs, 3 Terrastodon, 3 Wolfbriar Elemental, a Mind Spring, 3 Cunning Sparkmage, and a Raging Ravine for it. I know that's a big list but it only values out at $32.12 on Cardshark and all except the Verdants are useless to me right now. Should I do it or see if anyone else will trade a Pulse for just the Verdants or the such? All input is appreciated but it won't be done until Friday so no huge rush.

Fund for the win
Pretty happy with FNM tonight. Went 5-0, the only one, then got 3rd in the top 4 after finally losing to Polymorph. The ones I beat, in order: R/B deck, R/G/W Allies, Jund, Grixis, and Exalted Naya. Overall a pretty good run. Considering trading my 2 verdant catacombs and some shitty rares to Alon for a Maelstrom Pulse and taking out my Manlands for more basics and another Dragonskull if I can get one, as I don't get to use them enough. Hope everyone else ran well also : )

New Planeswalker Dual Deck
For those that didn't hear it yet the new Planewalker Deck is Elspeth vs. Tezzeret! This may get interesting. Also, Elspeth may be coming back in M11. Tezzeret will be great with Mirrodin and at worst Elspeth will probably be worth the value of buying the decks. I may just grab one for the resale value. Let's see how it goes : )

Baneslayer is apparently coming back : ( Plummet looks like a good anti-flier for green. Hope we see some mythics that can compete with Baneslayer, even though they'll cost a lot. Damn viscous cycle there. Like the new claw symbol for the set...wonder what it's a symbol of.

Mono G or g G/W Eldrazi
I'll let Alex clarify his changes here but Alex is considering modifying good, old Eldrazi Green with White in order to add removal and Stirring Wildwoods for reach, along with Sunpetal Groves for the dual mana. I wanted to discuss the pros and cons of the changes.
Pros:
1) White removal spells
2) Reach manland
Cons:
1) Slower beginning turns
2) Higher chance of mulligans
3) Loss of a few elf slots
4) Loss of basic lands
Howl of the Night Pack becomes near useless as less forests will be out (forget if Alex still plays it). I foresee the opening turns being much slower, especially in a one or no forest hand. Any other input guys?

Card vs. Card: Round #1
Okay, we all dispute which cards are better in all cases but to start a good weekly or so debate lets pit an alpha series favorite versus a Worldwake upstart. They both cost only G, are elves, and have mana abilities. If you haven't guessed yet I'm talking about Llanowar Elf and Arbor Elf. I thought a bit about it earlier and Llanowar shines against land destruction but Arbor Elf is great with land enchantments, such as Elvish Guidance or Living Terrain. Do you guys agree or is Llany still the best out there?

This is known as an Enduring Ideal deck. The deck's purpose is to stall out until you can safely play Enduring Ideal. Once this is done you can have a lock on the game. Form of the Dragon gives you the ability to burn a creature or opponent for 5 damage at your upkeep. In addition, creatures without flying can't attack you and at the beginning of each end step, no matter what your life is at, you're now at 5. Which seals the deal. 1st Enduring Ideal effect gets you Form of the Dragon, second at your next upkeep gets you Opalescence. You're opponent just took 12 that turn. Its a deck with a severely casual build, but at the time of its creation in extended it was a surprisingly powerful combo deck. Some versions the deck run Isochron Scepter to get around the draw back of the epic ability. Enjoy

Psychographic Profiles for the game
I seem to be all three of the main name groups in Magic. I'm a Timmy when I play green, white or red because I usually put too many massive high cost creatures into my deck in order to swing for overkill or block any creatures they can throw at me. I turn into Johnny for black and blue, as I always try to ramp into combos involving Bloodchief Ascension, Hellcarver Demon, Sphinx Ambassador, or the such. Multicolor brings the Spike out of me, as I'm willing to throw out all of my usual thoughts in order to win. I run Jund more for the multicolor Spike push in all three of my favorite colors than for its actual win potential, but winning helps : ) So, now that my rant is done, what do you guys see yourself as?

M11 Spoilers
So far, so little with the spoiler list but my interest is piqued for M11. Obi Wan looks to have more vampires and more merfolk if he wants to get that deck into standard mode. Green has its big beasties as usual for Alex and white has some new angels and soldiers... how unexpected ; ) Red has more dragons so I'm happy. Luke, you and I are just awaiting October to remove our Jund Decks and hoping M11 has new cards to make it crazier until we need to grudgingly have it leave Standard. In addition we should maybe add a link to the spoiler list for easy access and discussion.

Wanted to use MWS to make a deck but can't figure out how to put it in here so I'll input it manually. It's artifact creatures only (except for a certain artificier). It takes ideas from raffinity and esper and I kinda think it'd be funny to run.
Lands:
4 Seat of Synod
4 Ancient Den
4 Mishra's Workshop
4Great Furnace
4Vault of Whispers
Creatures:
4 Teeka's Dragon
4 Horrible Hordes
4 Etherium Sculptor
4 Mycosynth Golem
4 Master of Etherium
3 Mishra, Artificier Prodigy
Spells:
4 Lure
4 Rapid Fire
4 Assert Authority
3 Cloud Key
Planeswalkers:
2 Tezzeret the Seeker
A few win conditions but essentially rampage is the basic killer in combo with lure. Mishra by himself is fun but with Tezzeret tutoring for it the artifacts will build up quickly : )

General Deck Tech
Ideas for Jund:
1) Vithian Renegades in sideboard. Easy 3/2 out of cascade with artifact destruction to take out Esper and any other artifacts.
2) Amulet of Vigor makes manlands and other nonbasics come in untapped. Works for all decks running nonbasics, not just Jund.
Add new ideas or discuss your own decks. Tried to think of ideas for Eldrazi Green and Naya but couldn't think of anything new.

My EDH General Pick
Hey guys. In the spirit of our EDH competition I'm announcing my general as Scion of the Ur-Dragon. He was an easy choice for me with all of the the old Dragon creatures I have and with my username. Also, I think we should set up a list of banned cards. A few possibilities would include Pithing Needles or Word of Naught. We don't need an entire deck to be shut down because it's general can't even hit the field : ) . Hope the rest of you are having a fun time working on your deck.

The beginnings of a Counterburn Standard deck.
I'm not 100% on the FOF Metagame, but I figure a counterburn deck could make trouble for Conscription and maybe hold off Jund long enough.
No sideboard yet. Here's the first draft of the tentative decklist:
SPELLS (32):
2 Negate
4 Cancel
2 Essence Scatter
2 Dispel
3 Ponder
2 Twincast
3 Unsummon
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Forked Bolt
4 Burst Lightning
2 Fireball
CREATURES (6):
3 Raging Goblin
3 Sage Owl
LANDS (22):
2 Terramorphic Expanse
15 Island
5 Mountain
